Introduction

This field‑sales role focuses on expanding our network of micro‑entrepreneurs, providing personalized financial guidance, and ensuring timely repayment of micro‑loans. The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between Amartha and rural small‑business owners, helping them achieve sustainable growth while contributing to the organization’s social impact mission.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective borrowers through door‑to‑door outreach, community events, and referrals, building a robust pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Conduct in‑depth household economic assessments, evaluating income streams, expenses, and creditworthiness in line with Amartha’s underwriting guidelines.
  • Guide clients through the loan application process, gathering required documentation, completing digital forms, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
  • Perform feasibility surveys and risk analyses, using both qualitative observations and quantitative data to determine loan eligibility.
  • Prepare concise recommendation reports for the Credit Committee, highlighting key findings and suggested loan terms.
  • Facilitate weekly group meetings with existing borrowers, providing financial education, monitoring repayment behavior, and fostering peer‑to‑peer support.
  • Maintain accurate field data in Amartha’s CRM system, tracking visits, outcomes, and follow‑up actions.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to refine sales strategies, share market insights, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold Amartha’s commitment to ethical lending, transparency, and client confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; higher education in Business, Economics, or Social Sciences is a plus.
  • Age: maximum 28 years; female candidates preferred per local recruitment policy.
  • At least 1 year of experience in field sales, micro‑finance, or community outreach.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motorcycle for daily travel across the Dempet Demak area.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with diverse households.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency with data collection tools, basic Excel or spreadsheet functions, and familiarity with customer‑relationship management (CRM) platforms.
  • Comfortable working independently, handling rejection, and thriving in a door‑to‑door sales environment.
