Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Professional Pharmacist to join the pharmaceutical services team at RSU Raffa Majenang in Cilacap. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring safe, effective, and efficient medication therapy for our patients. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic hospital environment, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to optimize patient outcomes while upholding the highest standards of pharmacy practice.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide clear counseling on dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Review medication orders for appropriateness, potential drug interactions, and contraindications.
- Maintain and manage the hospital’s drug inventory, including ordering, receiving, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, offering pharmacological expertise to support treatment plans.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for medication safety and compliance with national regulations.
- Provide medication therapy management (MTM) services to inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on proper medication use, adherence strategies, and health promotion.
- Conduct regular audits of medication storage conditions and ensure proper handling of controlled substances.
- Assist in the preparation and compounding of sterile and non‑sterile products as required.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and hospital accreditation activities.
- Work flexible shift schedules, including weekends and evenings, to ensure 24‑hour pharmacy coverage.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3 or S1 in Pharmacy or a related health science field; high school diploma (SMA/SMK) is acceptable for entry‑level support roles.
- Active Indonesian Pharmacist Registration (STR) for the relevant health profession.
- Fresh graduates are welcome; prior experience in a hospital or health‑care facility is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, honesty, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical and mental fitness to handle the demands of a fast‑paced clinical environment.
- Willingness to be placed at RSU Raffa Majenang, Cilacap, with a work schedule from Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00.
- Flexibility to adapt to shift work when necessary, ensuring continuous pharmacy services.
