Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Retail Sales Cashier to join our dynamic store team. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent high school graduates or individuals with a strong work ethic who are eager to develop a career in retail operations. As an Assistant Cashier, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized checkout environment, ensuring accurate transactions, and delivering exceptional service to every customer who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a tidy and well‑organized cash register area at the end of each shift, including wiping surfaces, organizing receipts, and restocking cash float.
- Verify that all items leaving the store have been properly scanned and paid for, preventing loss and ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Monitor merchandise on the sales floor to deter theft, promptly reporting any suspicious activity to management.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering product questions, locating items, and guiding them through the checkout process.
- Utilize the “trimkasih” system (or equivalent receipt acknowledgment) to confirm that each customer receives their correct purchase documentation.
- Keep aisles, checkout lanes, and surrounding areas clean and free of debris, contributing to a safe shopping environment.
- Ensure that all display aisles are fully stocked and visually appealing, replenishing merchandise as needed.
- Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and reliability in handling cash, refunds, and store assets.
- Operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) computer system efficiently, entering transactions quickly and accurately.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve personal performance and support team goals, showing a willingness to learn new procedures and technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.

- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine, courteous demeanor toward customers.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn retail POS software quickly.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash responsibly.

- Availability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Desire to develop a long‑term career in retail, with a willingness to undergo on‑the‑job training.
