Introduction
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Barista (Part‑time) to join our vibrant coffee shop in Purwokerto. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso‑based drinks, and specialty beverages in strict accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain a spotless work area, regularly cleaning espresso machines, grinders, and all related equipment to ensure food safety and optimal performance.
- Take customer orders accurately, operate the point‑of‑sale (POS) system, handle cash and card transactions, and issue receipts promptly.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members, including kitchen staff and supervisors, to ensure smooth daily operations and timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in regular training sessions, workshops, and briefings led by the Leader or Supervisor to stay current on new menu items, brewing techniques, and service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and consumables, notifying management of low stock and assisting with restocking as needed.
- Uphold brand standards for presentation, ensuring all drinks are served with consistent quality, proper garnishing, and correct portion sizes.
- Adapt to flexible shift schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of a busy café environment.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1‑2 years of hands‑on experience in the Food & Beverage (FnB) industry, specifically as a barista.
- Strong passion for coffee culture with a quick learning ability for new brewing methods and recipes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly, communicative, and service‑oriented with a genuine desire to delight customers.
- Basic proficiency in English is an advantage for handling tourist guests and international menu items.
- Demonstrated reliability, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, multitask under pressure, and maintain composure during peak hours.
- Willingness to work a 6‑day work week, with shifts ranging from 07:00 to 20:00, and availability on holidays as required.
