Introduction
The Guru Pengajar TOEFL position is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic language institute in Tulungagung, Indonesia. As a dedicated TOEFL instructor, you will play a pivotal role in preparing students—ranging from high‑school graduates to university undergraduates—for the internationally recognized TOEFL exam. This full‑time role runs Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, and offers a collaborative environment where teaching excellence, integrity, and continuous professional growth are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive TOEFL preparation courses that cover reading, listening, speaking, and writing modules.
- Design lesson plans, practice tests, and classroom activities that align with ETS standards and local curriculum requirements.
- Assess student performance through quizzes, mock exams, and individual feedback sessions, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Provide personalized coaching on test‑taking strategies, time management, and academic English communication skills.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and grading documentation in the institute’s learning management system.
- Stay current with TOEFL format updates, educational technology tools, and best practices in language instruction.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation, confidence, and cultural awareness.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and administrative staff to organize workshops, seminars, and promotional events.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1) in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Age: Must be between 18 and 50 years old.

- Academic Status: Current university student or recent graduate is acceptable.
- Teaching Experience: Candidates who have completed high school or pesantren must possess prior teaching or tutoring experience.
