Introduction
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Professional Barista to join our growing coffee‑house team at our Pekalongan outlet. As a key member of our front‑of‑house staff, you will be responsible for crafting high‑quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming workspace, and contributing to the overall success of the outlet through proactive sales techniques.
Responsibilities
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee‑making equipment with precision and consistency.
- Prepare a wide range of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to standardized recipes.
- Deliver excellent, personalized service to each customer, greeting them warmly and addressing their needs promptly.
- Engage in active selling techniques such as promotions, upselling, cross‑selling, and suggestive selling to increase average ticket size.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, ensuring proper use of the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the service area, equipment, and dining space throughout the shift.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, notifying the manager of re‑order needs.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new menu items, brewing methods, and customer service best practices.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring both mental and physical well‑being for yourself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with teammates to create a positive work atmosphere and assist with opening and closing duties.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 28 years or younger (maximum 30 years acceptable).
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least 1 year of proven experience operating coffee‑making equipment in a café or similar setting.
- Ability to operate espresso machines, grinders, and related equipment confidently.
- Strong physical stamina and mental resilience to handle long shifts (08:00 – 23:55) and a high‑volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills, a service‑oriented mindset, optimism, and a professional attitude.
- Not currently enrolled in an academic program; availability for full‑time work.
- Willingness to be placed permanently at the Pekalongan outlet.
- Basic knowledge of coffee bean origins, roasting levels, and brewing techniques is a plus.
