Introduction
We are seeking a passionate Guru Tahfizh Al‑Qur’an to join our dynamic team at a reputable Islamic secondary school located in Bireuen and surrounding areas. This role is dedicated to nurturing the spiritual and academic growth of young learners by integrating Qur’anic memorisation, recitation, and understanding into the broader educational experience. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver daily Qur’an memorisation (Hafalan) and recitation (Tajweed) lessons for students in grades 10‑12.
- Design engaging instructional materials that align with the school’s curriculum and Islamic educational standards.
- Monitor each student’s progress, maintain accurate records of memorised Juz’, and provide constructive feedback.
- Organise and lead weekly Qur’an circles, competitions, and community‑service projects that reinforce moral values.
- Collaborate closely with homeroom teachers, counsellors, and the school’s headmaster to integrate Qur’anic teachings across subjects.
- Mentor students on personal development, character building, and the practical application of Islamic principles in daily life.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and parent‑teacher conferences.
- Uphold the school’s code of conduct, maintain a disciplined classroom atmosphere, and model exemplary Islamic behaviour.
- Assist in the preparation of school‑wide religious events such as Ramadan Iftar, Eid prayers, and Qur’an recitation contests.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in PGSD, FKIP, Tarbiyah, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in reading, reciting, and explaining the Qur’an with correct Tajweed.
- At least one Juz’ of Qur’an memorised; additional Hafalan is a distinct advantage.
- Must be a practicing Muslim; unmarried candidates are preferred but not mandatory.
- Residency in Bireuen or nearby districts to ensure reliable attendance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a genuine love for children, and a collaborative spirit.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with flexibility for special events.
- Demonstrated discipline, willingness to receive guidance, and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
