Introduction
Arkanza Coffee and Roastery is expanding its culinary team and is seeking a motivated Crew Kitchen Professional to join our fast‑paced café environment in Sidoarjo. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook café menu items—including breakfast plates, salads, sandwiches, and specialty snacks—strictly following standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
- Maintain flavor consistency, visual presentation, and portion control across all dishes served throughout the shift.
- Conduct daily mise en place: wash, chop, and organize fresh ingredients, ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready for peak service periods.
- Adhere to rigorous food safety and hygiene protocols, including regular sanitation of workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
- Collaborate with the café team to synchronize kitchen output with front‑of‑house demand, minimizing wait times and enhancing guest satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and assist in ordering to prevent waste and ensure cost‑effective operations.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute ideas for process improvements, waste reduction, and menu innovation.
- Work flexible shift patterns—including early mornings, evenings, and weekends—to support the café’s extended operating hours (08:00‑23:00).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, complying with local health regulations and internal safety standards.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent, preferably with a focus on culinary arts or food technology.
- At least 1 – 3 years of hands‑on experience in a kitchen or cook position within a café, restaurant, or similar food‑service setting.
- Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly, accurately, and maintain a tidy workstation under pressure.
- Understanding of kitchen hygiene, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to follow SOPs and support colleagues during busy periods.
- Disciplined, responsible, and able to manage time effectively in a high‑volume environment.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts and adapt to changing schedule needs.
- Residency in Sidoarjo or surrounding areas is highly preferred.
