Responsibilities
- Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to calculate precise material and labor quantities.
- Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQ) for civil works, ensuring alignment with industry standards such as SNI and AHSP.
- Develop comprehensive unit price analyses, incorporating market rates, supplier quotations, and historical cost data.
- Compile and maintain cost estimation spreadsheets, providing clear summaries for senior management and client review.
- Support the evaluation of vendor and contractor bids by comparing submitted proposals against internal cost models.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to resolve discrepancies and optimize cost efficiencies.
- Monitor changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly, documenting all variations for audit purposes.
- Participate in pre‑construction meetings, presenting cost implications and recommending value‑engineering alternatives.
- Stay updated on the latest construction material price trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in cost estimation.
- Mentor junior estimators, sharing knowledge on estimation software, data validation, and reporting techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in construction cost estimation, preferably within the civil or infrastructure sector.
- Proficiency in quantity take‑off from drawings and technical documents.
- Ability to produce accurate BoQ and unit price analyses based on SNI (Indonesian National Standard) and AHSP (Association of Indonesian Consulting Engineers) guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of preparing cost recap reports that support vendor/contractor evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex cost information to diverse stakeholders.
- High level of proficiency with MS Excel and estimation software (e.g., WinQS, CostX, or similar).
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
