Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Helper Operasional Dapur – Cook Helper to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is essential for maintaining a smooth, efficient, and hygienic food‑preparation environment in a fast‑paced restaurant setting. The successful candidate will work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and service personnel to ensure that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist head chefs and line cooks with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations.
  • Support the cooking process by monitoring cooking times, stirring, and ensuring dishes are plated correctly.
  • Receive, inspect, and store deliveries of fresh produce, meat, and dry goods, keeping accurate inventory records.
  • Prepare and replenish kitchen supplies, including sauces, stocks, and garnishes, to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Coordinate with the front‑of‑house team to understand order priorities and assist with timely delivery of dishes.
  • Participate in daily kitchen briefings, offering feedback on workflow improvements and safety concerns.
  • Adhere to all food safety protocols, including proper temperature control, cross‑contamination prevention, and waste management.
  • Assist in the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations for special events, banquets, or seasonal menus.
  • Continuously develop culinary skills through on‑the‑job training and mentorship from senior kitchen staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a similar kitchen or food‑service role.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
  • Basic cooking knowledge and a genuine passion for food preparation.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work the schedule of Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
  • Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
  • Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
  • Understanding of food safety standards (HACCP) and willingness to follow strict hygiene practices.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and openness to learning new techniques.
