Responsibilities
- Process all customer transactions accurately using the mall’s point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining a balanced cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide friendly, courteous assistance to shoppers, answering product inquiries and guiding them through promotional offers.
- Monitor and reconcile daily sales reports, ensuring discrepancies are reported promptly to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including regular stocking of receipts, bags, and promotional materials.
- Identify and resolve customer complaints or issues with professionalism, escalating when necessary.
- Assist with inventory checks, price tag updates, and visual merchandising as directed by store management.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and security protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency procedures.
- Participate in shift handovers, communicating important information about sales trends, equipment issues, or staffing needs.
- Utilize personal Android smartphone for internal communications and schedule updates, as required by the mall’s operational system.
Requirements
- Physical and mental health that enables the ability to stand for extended periods and handle a fast‑paced work environment.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a background in retail or hospitality is a plus.
- Honesty, meticulousness, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Focused mindset with the willingness to work hard during peak shopping hours.
- Ownership of an Android smartphone for internal communication and schedule management.
- Not currently enrolled in any academic program (full‑time availability required).
- Personal transportation to ensure reliable punctuality for shift work.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Open to all genders; the role is not part‑time.
- Basic proficiency with POS and cash register systems; prior cashier experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
