Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Retail Sales Cashier with proven customer service experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the face of our store, handling transactions, managing cash flow, and ensuring that every customer leaves with a positive impression. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting the sales process, maintaining accurate financial records, and driving additional revenue through strategic upselling.
Responsibilities
- Generate accurate invoices for all outbound merchandise, ensuring proper pricing, taxes, and discounts are applied.
- Prepare and submit daily cash reconciliation reports, highlighting any discrepancies and maintaining transparency with management.
- Execute upselling techniques at the point of sale, recommending complementary products and promotions to increase average transaction value.
- Print and attach shipping documents (surat jalan) for items leaving the store, coordinating with the logistics team to guarantee timely delivery.
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments securely, following company policies for fraud prevention and data protection.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area, restocking impulse‑buy items and ensuring promotional signage is up‑to‑date.
- Collaborate with inventory staff to update stock levels in the point‑of‑sale system after each sale.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide product knowledge to enhance the shopping experience.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current on new product lines, sales techniques, and system updates.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of cashier or retail sales experience, preferably in a fast‑paced environment.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in cash handling and balance sheet management.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Familiarity with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic inventory software.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
- Positive attitude with a customer‑centric mindset.
- Team player who can collaborate with sales, logistics, and management staff.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
