Responsibilities
The Retail Sales Cashier plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth transaction flow and delivering exceptional service. Core duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operating point‑of‑sale (POS) systems accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments.
- Scanning items, applying discounts, and verifying promotional pricing.
- Maintaining a tidy checkout area, organizing receipts, and ensuring the cash drawer balances at the end of each shift.
- Answering customer inquiries, resolving minor complaints, and escalating complex issues to the floor manager.
- Collaborating with sales associates to restock impulse items and keep promotional displays up‑to‑date.
- Conducting periodic inventory checks and reporting discrepancies to the inventory control team.
- Adhering to all store policies, including loss‑prevention procedures and health‑safety regulations.

Requirements
