Responsibilities
- Process cash, credit, debit, and mobile‑payment transactions quickly and accurately using the store’s POS system.
- Verify the correctness of each transaction, ensuring that cash drawers balance at the end of every shift.
- Issue receipts, handle change, and provide clear explanations of purchase details to customers.
- Maintain a welcoming demeanor, greet shoppers, and address inquiries about product availability, pricing, and promotions.
- Assist customers with returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with store policies.
- Keep the checkout area tidy, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies such as bags, receipt paper, and promotional flyers.
- Conduct regular cash counts and perform end‑of‑shift cash reconciliation, reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure seamless store operations, including supporting floor staff during busy periods.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on new POS features, loss‑prevention techniques, and customer‑service best practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 28 years old.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Prior cashier or retail experience is preferred but not mandatory; fresh graduates with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated honesty, meticulousness, and accountability when handling cash.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude toward customers.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adapting to shift schedules (including weekends).
- Proficiency in operating POS terminals and basic arithmetic calculations.
- Strong time‑management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during peak hours.
