This role is pivotal in ensuring that every pre‑owned vehicle we purchase meets strict quality standards, aligns with market demand, and delivers value to our customers. The successful candidate will operate in a fast‑paced environment, interacting with dealers, private sellers, and internal sales teams while adhering to established inspection protocols.
Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly and quarterly vehicle purchase targets by identifying high‑potential used‑car inventory.
- Generate and nurture leads through market research, dealer networks, and online platforms to build a steady pipeline of prospective sellers.
- Conduct thorough inspections of four‑wheel vehicles according to a detailed checklist covering exterior, interior, mechanical systems, and safety components.
- Document inspection findings accurately, produce comprehensive reports, and input data into the company’s management system for further evaluation.
- Negotiate purchase prices with sellers, applying market data and internal pricing guidelines to secure favorable terms.
- Provide post‑inspection follow‑up, addressing any seller concerns, and ensuring a smooth handover of ownership.
- Deliver clear, honest, and timely information to customers regarding vehicle condition, pricing, and the purchasing process.
- Collaborate with the sales, finance, and marketing departments to align inspection outcomes with promotional strategies.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of automotive trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that affect vehicle valuation.
- Uphold safety and environmental standards during all inspection activities, ensuring the workshop remains compliant with local regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical or mechanical background highly preferred.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience as a four‑wheel vehicle inspector or in a related automotive role.
- Demonstrated ability to assess mechanical systems, identify defects, and estimate repair costs.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving purchase price objectives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling accurate reporting and customer interaction.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and familiarity with inspection software platforms.
- Male candidates only, as per current company policy.
- Ability to work full‑time, Monday through Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple inspections simultaneously.
- Good analytical mindset, with the capacity to interpret market data and translate it into actionable insights.
