Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Sales Merchandiser to cover the key retail zones of Jember and Banyuwangi. This role is pivotal in driving brand visibility, expanding market share, and ensuring that our FMCG and personal‑care products are optimally presented across a wide network of outlets. The successful candidate will join our outsourced sales force, reporting directly to the Regional Sales Manager, and will be empowered to shape the customer experience through strategic merchandising, proactive order taking, and strong relationship building.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily routes to visit an average of 20 retail stores, ensuring timely coverage of 80‑150 outlets within the assigned territory.
- Present product displays that comply with brand guidelines, maximizing shelf impact and driving impulse purchases.
- Conduct regular market intelligence gathering, reporting competitor activities, price changes, and emerging consumer trends to the sales leadership team.
- Negotiate promotional agreements and shelf‑space allocations with store owners and category managers, leveraging strong communication skills.
- Capture and process store orders accurately, entering data into the ERP system and following up on deliveries to guarantee on‑time fulfillment.
- Maintain a personal vehicle in good condition to ensure reliable travel across Jember, Banyuwangi, and surrounding areas.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to design and implement in‑store displays, point‑of‑sale materials, and seasonal campaigns.
- Provide post‑sale support, addressing any product issues, returns, or customer feedback promptly.
- Prepare weekly activity reports summarizing outlet visits, sales volumes, stock levels, and promotional effectiveness.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (or high school diploma/SMA‑SMK for outsourced positions).
- At least 1 year of proven sales experience within the FMCG or personal‑care industry.
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer‑centric mindset.
- Demonstrated capability to manage a large portfolio of outlets (80‑150) and achieve daily visit targets.
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles, visual display standards, and order‑taking processes.
- Possession of a reliable personal vehicle; valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to work on an outsourcing basis and adapt to flexible scheduling.
- Preferred residence in Surabaya or nearby regions to reduce travel time.
