Introduction
PT. Prima Chemindo is seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Supervisor Produksi – Penanggung Jawab Operasi Pabrik to lead its fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) and chemical manufacturing line. The successful candidate will be the operational heartbeat of the plant, ensuring that daily production runs smoothly, meets strict quality and safety standards, and delivers on the company’s aggressive output targets.
This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong technical background in chemical or industrial engineering, a proven record of supervising production teams, and a passion for continuous improvement in a high‑pace manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and monitor daily and weekly production activities to achieve planned output while adhering to SOP, GMP, and K3 (occupational health and safety) requirements.
- Lead, coach, and evaluate a multidisciplinary production crew, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.
- Coordinate closely with PPIC (Production Planning & Inventory Control) and QC (Quality Control) to align material availability, batch specifications, and release criteria.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment malfunctions, process bottlenecks, and quality deviations to minimize downtime and reject rates.
- Generate comprehensive production reports, including output volumes, reject percentages, machine downtime, and waste metrics, using advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables and data visualizations.
- Manage raw material inventory efficiently, implement waste‑reduction initiatives, and ensure optimal material flow through the plant.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5R/5S, and other continuous‑improvement programs to raise productivity and reduce cost per unit.
- Participate in shift hand‑overs and be willing to work rotating shifts to guarantee 24‑hour operational coverage.
- Maintain compliance with environmental regulations, internal audit findings, and external certifications (e.g., ISO, K3).
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/S1 in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Maximum age: 35 years.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor in FMCG, detergent, soap, or chemical manufacturing.
- In‑depth knowledge of soap, detergent, and cleaning‑product processes is highly preferred.
- Strong command of GMP, 5R/5S, and K3 standards.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, especially under pressure, with excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, data analysis) and familiarity with ERP systems such as Odoo.
- Additional assets: Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen certification, Odoo/ERP implementation experience, and a formal K3 certification.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
