Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and diligent Collection Department Supervisor to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely recovery of outstanding payments while maintaining positive relationships with our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong persuasive communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead a small team of collectors in a fast‑paced environment.

The position is based in our main office and follows a Monday‑Saturday schedule, offering a stable work routine with opportunities for professional growth in the financial services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customers who have entered a delinquent status to collect overdue installment payments.
  • Conduct face‑to‑face or telephonic negotiations, presenting flexible repayment options that align with both company policy and the customer’s financial situation.
  • Monitor agreed‑upon payment promises, send timely reminders, and follow up on missed installments to ensure compliance with the repayment schedule.
  • Perform thorough field investigations to locate hard‑to‑reach debtors, including visiting residential addresses, workplaces, and, when necessary, coordinating with local authorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all collection activities in the company’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead and coach junior collectors, providing on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and support in handling complex cases.
  • Prepare regular reports on collection metrics such as recovery rates, outstanding balances, and customer response trends for senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with the credit, legal, and customer service departments to resolve disputes and streamline the collection workflow.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, local debt recovery laws, and ethical collection standards to mitigate risk and protect the company’s reputation.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a higher education degree in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
  • Age: Up to 30 years old.
  • Gender: Male (as per current operational policy).
  • Experience: No prior experience required, but demonstrated ability to handle negotiations and customer interactions is highly valued.
  • Core Skills:
    • Proficiency in debt collection processes and techniques.
    • Persuasive communication and active listening.
    • Strong negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
    • Attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
    • Ability to work independently and lead a small team.
    • Basic computer literacy, especially with CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
