Introduction
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical professional to join our credit team as an Credit Analyst at our Palur office. This role is critical to ensuring the soundness of our loan portfolio by rigorously evaluating credit applications and supporting the bank’s risk management framework. The ideal candidate will bring a solid educational foundation in finance, economics, accounting, or related fields, coupled with at least one year of hands‑on experience in credit analysis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive credit assessments using the 5C methodology (Character, Capacity, Capital, Conditions, and Collateral) to determine borrower eligibility.
- Prepare detailed credit proposals, financial models, and risk rating reports for presentation to senior management and credit committees.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and market trends to identify potential risk factors and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date borrower files in the bank’s credit management system, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with relationship managers, legal counsel, and underwriting teams to gather necessary documentation and clarify credit terms.
- Monitor existing loan accounts for signs of credit deterioration, conduct periodic reviews, and propose restructuring or remedial actions when necessary.
- Stay informed about industry developments, economic indicators, and regulatory changes that could impact credit risk.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for advanced data analysis, including ratio calculations, sensitivity analysis, and scenario testing.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts on best practices in credit evaluation and report writing.
Requirements
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Age: Maximum 35 years.
- Education: Minimum a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Economics, Accounting, Management, Banking, or a closely related discipline. A D3/D4 qualification may be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience as a Credit Analyst in a commercial bank, financial institution, or a reputable lending organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and Word.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical mindset, meticulous attention to detail, high level of responsibility, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong problem‑solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple credit files under tight deadlines.
- Work Schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
