Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated Professional Kitchen Assistant to support the daily operations of our bustling restaurant. Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meats, and other items.
  • Maintain a spotless work area by cleaning countertops, equipment, and floors throughout each shift, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
  • Operate basic kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, and ovens safely and efficiently.
  • Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality, proper labeling, and correct temperature control.
  • Monitor inventory levels of staples and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Support plating and garnishing of dishes under the guidance of senior cooks.
  • Ensure proper waste segregation and disposal, contributing to the restaurant’s sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist in setting up the kitchen before service and performing closing duties at the end of the day.
  • Communicate courteously with front‑of‑house staff to coordinate order timing and special requests.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of protective gear and proper handling of knives and hot equipment.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of SMP/MTS or equivalent.

  • Transportation: Own reliable motor vehicle for commuting to the restaurant.

  • Residency: Candidates residing near the restaurant are preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to operate basic kitchen tools and equipment.
  • Work Hours: 6‑hour shifts, Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
