Introduction
PT. AeroLogistics Indonesia is seeking a dedicated Asisten Peneliti – Tata Kelola Data to join our regulated agent team responsible for the safe handling of Dangerous Goods (DG) in air cargo operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with international regulations such as IATA DGR and ICAO Technical Instructions, while safeguarding personnel, assets, and the environment. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on experience in DG management with strong analytical and communication skills, supporting continuous improvement and training across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and supervise incoming shipments classified as Dangerous Goods, verifying that all documentation (MSDS, packing list) is complete and accurate.
- Conduct detailed evaluations of DG cargo, including content verification, proper labeling, and packaging in line with current IATA and ICAO standards.
- Maintain a comprehensive tracking system for any violations or incidents involving hazardous materials within the regulated agent’s jurisdiction.
- Exercise authority to halt handling activities immediately in the event of an incident or accident, coordinating spill‑cleaning procedures and restoration to normal operations.
- Develop and deliver internal training sessions and awareness campaigns to keep staff up‑to‑date with regulatory changes and best practices.
- Perform regular audits of DG handling procedures, identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions to ensure continuous compliance.
- Utilize screening equipment such as X‑ray, Explosive Trace Detectors (ETD), and physical inspection tools to detect non‑conforming items.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including logistics, safety, and quality assurance—to streamline data flow and improve reporting accuracy.
- Prepare analytical reports on DG handling performance, incident trends, and compliance metrics for senior management review.
- Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and emergency response plans related to hazardous cargo.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; diploma (D3) or bachelor’s degree (S1) in aviation, logistics, or a related field is highly preferred.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in air cargo logistics, freight forwarding, or regulated agent operations, with a strong focus on Dangerous Goods handling.
- Active Dangerous Goods (DG) license and thorough knowledge of IATA DGR, ICAO Technical Instructions, and local regulations.
- Proven ability to manage classifications across all DG classes (1–9) and to apply proper segregation, labeling, and documentation practices.
- Hands‑on experience with security screening equipment (X‑ray, ETD) and physical inspection techniques.
- Strong leadership and decision‑making capabilities, especially under pressure during incidents or accidents.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory texts and translate them into actionable SOPs.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to conduct training, produce reports, and liaise with authorities.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Flexibility to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, and respond to urgent situations outside regular hours if required.
