Introduction

Passla Coffee, a rapidly growing specialty coffee brand in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Barista Kepala – Pengelola Tim Kedai Kopi to lead its flagship outlet in Medan. This pivotal role combines hands‑on coffee craftsmanship with strategic team leadership, ensuring that every cup served meets the highest standards of flavor, consistency, and customer delight. Responsibilities

  • Manajemen Coffee Bar: Oversee daily operations of the coffee bar, enforce strict quality‑control (QC) protocols for espresso extraction, milk steaming, and manual brew methods, and maintain immaculate cleanliness of workstations.
  • Stok & Opname: Conduct regular inventory checks, record usage of beans, syrups, equipment, and consumables, and coordinate timely re‑ordering to prevent shortages.
  • Koordinasi Event: Serve as the technical lead for Passla Coffee’s participation in external events, pop‑up booths, and trade shows, handling set‑up, equipment logistics, and on‑site coffee service.
  • Client Follow‑up: Build and nurture relationships with B2B clients and brand partners, respond to inquiries, and ensure delivery of tailored coffee solutions that meet contractual standards.
  • Kepemimpinan Tim: Recruit, train, and mentor junior baristas, create shift schedules, conduct performance reviews, and foster a collaborative, service‑focused culture.
  • Pengembangan Menu: Work with the product development team to test new blends, seasonal drinks, and specialty recipes, providing feedback on feasibility and customer reception.
  • Pelaporan Operasional: Prepare daily and weekly reports on sales, waste, and operational efficiency, offering insights to senior management for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: No upper age limit; candidates must be physically capable of standing for long periods.
  • Gender: Male (as per current company policy).
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a senior barista or head barista role, preferably within a specialty coffee shop or boutique café.
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of espresso machine operation, manual brew techniques (V60, Chemex, AeroPress), and flavor calibration.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage stock records, conduct accurate inventory counts, and handle basic administrative tasks.
  • Communication: Strong, persuasive interpersonal skills for client interaction, team coaching, and public speaking during events.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work variable schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and travel to event sites.
  • Location: Residence in Medan or surrounding areas.
  • Soft Skills: Multitasking, problem‑solving, attention to detail, and a customer‑centric mindset.
