Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage hotel servers, ensuring 99.9% uptime and rapid response to incidents.
- Develop, test, and deploy software patches and updates that support front‑desk, housekeeping, and reservation systems.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand operational workflows and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform routine system health checks, security audits, and performance tuning to prevent downtime.
- Provide first‑line technical support to hotel staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, standard operating procedures, and incident reports.
- Assist in the integration of new hospitality technologies, such as mobile check‑in platforms and IoT devices.
- Train team members on best practices for using hotel management software and digital tools.
- Participate in shift rotations, including weekends and holidays, to guarantee 24/7 coverage of critical systems.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and propose enhancements that improve guest experience and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (associate degree) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; high school diploma with relevant experience is also considered.
- At least 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in a similar technical role, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Strong understanding of hotel operational standards and the ability to align technical solutions with departmental needs.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding guest‑service support.
- Professional appearance, courteous demeanor, and ability to interact positively with both guests and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven resilience under pressure, with effective time‑management and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Willingness to work flexible shift schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
- High level of integrity, discipline, and personal responsibility.
- Technical skill set: server monitoring tools, basic networking, scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash), and familiarity with hospitality management software.
