Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging geography lessons that align with the preschool curriculum and national educational standards.
- Develop interactive learning resources, including maps, globes, puzzles, and digital tools to stimulate visual and tactile exploration.
- Plan and supervise field trips, nature walks, and classroom experiments that connect classroom concepts to real‑world environments.
- Assess student progress through observation, simple quizzes, and portfolio reviews, providing constructive feedback to children and parents.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate geographic themes across subjects such as science, art, and language.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and culturally respectful classroom atmosphere that supports the diverse backgrounds of all students.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development, classroom activities, and upcoming events.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school community events.
- Utilize English language skills to introduce basic geographic vocabulary in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, enhancing bilingual competence.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the preschool’s curriculum by sharing innovative ideas and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Geography, Environmental Studies, or a closely related field.
- Age: Up to 36 years old.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Religious affiliation: Must be Muslim/Muslimah, respecting the school’s faith‑based environment.
- Proficiency in English (both active and passive) to support bilingual instruction.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Excellent communication skills, patience, and a nurturing attitude suitable for early‑child education.
- Creativity in lesson planning, with a willingness to incorporate technology and interactive media.
- Commitment to the school’s working schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 07:15 – 16:00.
