This entry‑level position is designed for recent graduates of automotive technical programs who are eager to develop hands‑on skills in light‑vehicle maintenance and repair. As part of a dynamic service center, you will receive structured on‑the‑job training, work alongside experienced mechanics, and contribute to delivering high‑quality automotive services to our growing customer base.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians in routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of light‑weight vehicles (cars, motorcycles, and small commercial trucks).
- Perform basic tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, brake pad inspections, tire rotations, and battery checks under supervision.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify common mechanical and electrical faults, documenting findings accurately in service reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment by following company safety protocols and proper tool handling procedures.
- Support parts inventory management by locating, retrieving, and restocking components required for daily repairs.
- Participate in weekly technical briefings to stay updated on new vehicle models, emerging technologies, and best‑practice repair methods.
- Communicate clearly with senior staff and customers regarding service status, recommended repairs, and estimated completion times.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding punctuality, attendance (Monday‑Saturday, 08:30‑16:30), and professional conduct.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a graduate of Teknik Kendaraan Ringan (TKR) or Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif (TKRO).
- Gender: Male (as stipulated by the current operational guidelines).
- Age: No maximum age limit; candidates of any age are welcome provided they meet other criteria.
- Health: Physically fit, free from drug use, and able to perform manual tasks required in a workshop setting.
- Vision: Good eyesight with the ability to distinguish colors accurately, essential for safety inspections and wiring diagnostics.
- Skills: Basic understanding of automotive systems, strong mechanical aptitude, willingness to learn, and good communication abilities.
- Location: Willingness to be placed in our Samarinda facility.
