Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Private English Tutor (Pengajar Bahasa Inggris Privat) to join our dedicated team of educators serving students in Gondanglegi and surrounding areas. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, learner‑centered English lessons for students of various ages and proficiency levels.
- Conduct initial placement assessments and regularly evaluate progress through quizzes, speaking drills, and written assignments.
- Develop customized study materials, including worksheets, multimedia resources, and interactive activities that align with each student’s objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading comprehension, and writing skills.
- Maintain a structured yet flexible schedule, teaching Monday through Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00, while accommodating occasional rescheduling requests.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to report progress, discuss challenges, and recommend supplemental practice.
- Stay updated on contemporary ESL teaching methodologies, digital tools, and exam preparation strategies (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge).
- Uphold a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity and respect.
- Participate in periodic training sessions, peer observations, and professional development workshops organized by the center.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; at least 7 semesters completed.
- Academic performance: GPA of 3.00 or higher.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching, with a friendly, creative, and patient demeanor.
- Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and oral communication; ability to explain concepts clearly in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Preferred residence in Gondanglegi or nearby districts for convenient commute.
- Basic proficiency with digital teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards) is a plus.
- Flexibility to adapt lesson plans based on individual learning styles and assessment results.
- Legal eligibility to work in Indonesia; no prior teaching experience required, though any tutoring or volunteer experience is advantageous.
