Introduction
The Petugas Keamanan Mess Penginapan Karyawan is a pivotal role responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment within the employee accommodation complex that comprises two adjoining shop-houses (Ruko). The successful candidate will work in a dynamic shift system, interacting regularly with staff, visitors, and external service providers while upholding the highest standards of security and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols across all floors (1‑3), parking areas, and entry/exit points to deter unauthorized activity and quickly identify potential hazards.
- Monitor and control the flow of guests, employees, and deliveries, verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized individuals gain access to the mess premises.
- Maintain an accurate daily security log, documenting incidents, visitor registrations, and any irregularities for future reference and audit.
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as disturbances, fires, theft attempts, or security breaches, following established protocols and coordinating with local emergency services when necessary.
- Supervise vehicle access, directing guest and resident parking, conducting spot checks, and preventing unauthorized use of the premises’ parking facilities.
- Protect company assets by performing routine inspections of equipment, furniture, and stored materials, reporting any signs of damage or loss immediately.
- Coordinate closely with the mess manager and property caretaker to resolve issues ranging from maintenance requests to conflict mediation among residents.
- Enforce the mess’s rules and regulations, issuing reminders or warnings as required to maintain a respectful and orderly living environment.
- Perform shift handovers, briefing the incoming guard on any outstanding matters, pending incidents, or special instructions.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic security reports for senior management, highlighting trends, recurring issues, and recommended improvements.
- Participate in scheduled training sessions on first aid, fire safety, and advanced security techniques to continuously enhance competence.
- Maintain personal fitness and mental readiness to respond effectively to physically demanding or high‑stress situations.
Requirements
- Male candidate, physically and mentally fit, able to perform duties that may involve standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; higher education in security management is a plus.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in a security or guard role, preferably within a residential or industrial setting.
- Strong sense of integrity, honesty, and accountability; ability to make decisive judgments under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact courteously with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
- Capability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, with flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
- Demonstrated discipline, punctuality, and reliability in previous employment.
- Basic knowledge of emergency response procedures, fire safety, and first‑aid principles.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting software.
- Valid driver’s license is advantageous for occasional vehicle inspections or escort duties.
