Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Mekanik Forklift – Perawatan dan Perbaikan Alat Berat to join our dynamic maintenance team. This role focuses on the preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electric forklifts operating in a high‑throughput warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will combine solid technical knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and warehouse operations with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electric forklifts, including inspection of hydraulic circuits, battery health, and electrical components.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures, such as wear on gears, brake systems, and steering mechanisms, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Utilize multimeters and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues, replace faulty wiring, and calibrate control modules.
- Maintain accurate service logs, parts inventories, and maintenance schedules in accordance with company SOPs.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to understand operational demands and prioritize repairs that affect critical workflow.
- Provide on‑site training and guidance to forklift operators on proper usage, safety checks, and minor troubleshooting techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all local safety regulations, company policies, and ISO standards related to equipment maintenance.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting upgrades or process changes that enhance forklift performance and longevity.
- Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, warranty claims, and procurement of high‑value components.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, delivering effective solutions during the standard work schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00) and, when necessary, on-call support.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 or equivalent; preferably SMK TKRO/TKR (Automotive), Mechanical, or Electronics.
- At least 5 years of proven experience as an electric forklift mechanic.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, basic electricity, and electrical component schematics.
- Familiarity with warehouse operational basics, including load handling, traffic flow, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using measurement and diagnostic tools, especially multimeters.
- Ability to read technical manuals, interpret wiring diagrams, and follow detailed repair procedures.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy parts, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
