Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Barista to join our vibrant coffee and tea shop, Kedai. As a Barista, you will be the face of our brand, delivering high‑quality beverages while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest who walks through our doors. The position offers stable weekday and Saturday shifts, with a schedule that runs from 08:00 to 17:00, allowing you to develop your skills in a supportive, modern F&B setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso, and tea drinks according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station, including regular equipment cleaning and daily deep‑cleaning routines.
- Engage with customers, take orders, recommend menu items, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems accurately, handle cash transactions, and reconcile daily sales reports.
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate ordering needs to the manager.
- Adhere to food safety, health, and safety regulations, including proper storage and handling of perishable items.
- Collaborate closely with teammates, assisting during peak periods and covering shifts as needed.
- Continuously develop product knowledge, stay updated on new beverage trends, and participate in periodic training sessions.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 35 years.

- At least 0–1 year of experience in the food & beverage industry, preferably in a café or barista role.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate politely with customers.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, including weekends (Monday‑Saturday).
- Not currently enrolled in a full‑time academic program; full commitment to the schedule is required.
- Strong motivation and a genuine passion for coffee culture and hospitality.
- Basic barista skills: espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art fundamentals, and knowledge of tea brewing techniques.
- Excellent time‑management, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
