In this role, you will inspire children aged 5‑12 to explore the world of robotics and programming using LEGO Education kits, turning play into powerful learning moments. Our centre blends cutting‑edge technology with a fun, supportive environment, ensuring every lesson sparks curiosity and logical thinking.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging LEGO‑based curricula that align with national education standards and promote critical thinking.
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessment tools to track student progress.
- Facilitate interactive classroom activities, guiding students through building, coding, and troubleshooting robots.
- Provide individualized support, adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning space, ensuring all equipment is functional and properly stored.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and curriculum developers to continuously improve program content.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, offering updates on student achievements and areas for growth.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and community outreach events.
- Evaluate and document lesson outcomes, using data to refine instructional strategies.
- Uphold the centre’s values of creativity, teamwork, and a growth mindset in every interaction.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a degree in Information Technology or a related field is highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of teaching, tutoring, or relevant instructional experience.
- Strong passion for working with children and ability to engage them with energetic, age‑appropriate communication.
- Fundamental knowledge of programming concepts (e.g., block‑based coding, basic Python) and a genuine interest in robotics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic computer troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal articulation, with a clear and pleasant speaking tone suitable for classroom settings.
- Non‑smoker, punctual, and able to maintain a professional appearance.
- Demonstrated creativity, imagination, and the capacity to develop innovative teaching activities.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet performance targets in a fast‑paced environment.
- Team‑player mentality, reliable, and comfortable delivering presentations to larger groups.
- Logical reasoning abilities and an analytical mindset for problem‑solving.
- Availability to work Monday‑Saturday, 11:00 – 18:30.
