Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef – Pengelola Dapur to join our dynamic kitchen team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef, ensuring that daily food preparation, plating, and kitchen operations run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting a diverse menu that meets the restaurant’s quality standards.
- Execute mise en place tasks—including chopping, marinating, and portioning—to ensure all stations are ready for service.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and coordinate with the procurement team to maintain optimal stock of fresh ingredients.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety protocols, adhering to local food‑handling regulations and internal SOPs.
- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff, fostering a cooperative atmosphere that promotes efficiency and creativity.
- Adapt recipes and cooking methods under pressure during peak service periods while preserving flavor integrity.
- Provide mentorship to junior kitchen assistants, offering guidance on technique, timing, and plating aesthetics.
- Document daily production reports, noting any deviations, waste, or equipment issues for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a demi‑chef or line‑cook capacity.
- Strong communication skills; able to convey instructions clearly and receive feedback constructively.
- Demonstrated honesty, responsibility, and a commitment to punctuality.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
