Introduction
Accor, a world‑leading hospitality group, is seeking a motivated Engineering Operations Coordinator to join its dynamic team. This position is designed for active undergraduate students or recent graduates who are eager to launch a career in the fast‑paced hotel and resort industry. The role offers a comprehensive internship experience, allowing you to develop practical skills while supporting the smooth operation of engineering services across multiple properties.
Working hours are Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, providing a full‑time immersion into real‑world operations. You will be based in our regional hub, collaborating with seasoned engineers, facilities managers, and cross‑functional teams to ensure that all technical assets meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs for building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Assist senior engineers in planning and executing small‑scale renovation projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment inventories, and compliance certificates using the company’s CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Liaise with external vendors and service contractors, obtaining quotations, scheduling service visits, and monitoring performance against service level agreements.
- Support the preparation of monthly operational reports, highlighting key performance indicators such as downtime, energy consumption, and cost savings.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments, ensuring all engineering activities comply with local regulations and Accor’s internal safety policies.
- Provide on‑site assistance during guest events or special projects, guaranteeing that technical requirements are met without disrupting the guest experience.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement initiatives, such as sustainability projects, energy‑efficiency upgrades, and process automation.
Requirements
- Active undergraduate student or fresh graduate, preferably from Engineering, Facility Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in the hospitality industry and a desire to understand how technical operations enhance guest experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Well‑groomed, presentable, and able to represent the brand positively when interacting with guests and partners.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- High initiative, disciplined work ethic, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to commit to the internship program for the assigned period, adhering to the stipulated schedule.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with maintenance management software is a plus.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; technical knowledge in electrical engineering (Keterampilan Teknik Elektro) is advantageous.
