Introduction
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Barista to join our vibrant coffee shop located in the bustling Pluit area. As a key member of our front‑of‑house crew, you will help create memorable coffee experiences while upholding the high standards of quality and service that our brand is known for.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, pour‑over, cold brew, and specialty drinks, following standardized recipes and quality guidelines.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices, ensuring consistent performance and routine cleaning.
- Engage with customers, take orders, answer menu questions, and provide personalized recommendations based on individual tastes.
- Handle cash registers, process payments, and accurately manage daily sales reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory control by tracking stock levels of beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies, and communicating re‑order needs to the manager.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product offerings.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including equipment startup, deep cleaning, and securing the premises.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours and to resolve any service issues promptly.
Requirements
- Male or female candidates, maximum age of 30 years.
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience as a barista (fresh graduates with relevant training are welcome).
- Strong knowledge of basic coffee brewing methods and beverage preparation.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee‑related equipment.
- Neat, clean appearance with a professional demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly, communicative, and creative in addressing customer needs.
- Willingness to work flexible shift schedules, including weekends.
- Ability to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
