Introduction
PT. JantrakaKikaki is expanding its manufacturing footprint across Indonesia and is seeking a skilled Mechanic Production (Bubut) for our Bandung facility. This position is ideal for a hands‑on professional who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment, possesses solid machining knowledge, and is eager to support the continuous improvement of our product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining turning machines, ensuring that all components meet the strict quality standards required by our automotive and industrial customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual turning (bubut) machines safely and efficiently to produce precision parts.
- Set up, calibrate, and adjust machine tools according to engineering drawings and work orders.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubrication, inspection of spindles, tool holders, and drive systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose faults, and execute corrective repairs with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with the production planning team to meet daily output targets while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Document work performed, record machine settings, and update maintenance logs in accordance with ISO‑9001 requirements.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians and share best practices for machining efficiency.
- Participate in Kaizen events and continuous‑improvement initiatives aimed at reducing waste and enhancing productivity.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and waste‑management regulations, especially regarding coolant disposal and metal shavings.
- Be ready to rotate across any JantrakaKikaki branch nationwide, providing flexibility to support peak production periods.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably SMK with a focus on Mechanical Engineering.
- Gender: Male (as per current operational policy).
- Age: Up to 28 years old.
- Work experience: At least 1 year operating turning machines in a manufacturing setting.
- Technical skills:
- Proficient in operating both CNC and conventional lathes (bubut).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including automotive and light‑vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to replace and adjust shock absorbers, perform basic engine and chassis repairs.
- Familiarity with machining tolerances, surface‑finish requirements, and GD&T basics.
- Soft skills:
- Excellent communication abilities to interact with supervisors, engineers, and team members.
- Proven capability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on proactive maintenance.
- Adaptability to work in different plant locations (rolling deployment).
- Work schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 07:50 – 16:00.
