To maintain our reputation for culinary excellence, we are seeking a dedicated Juru Masak dan Asisten Dapur who can expertly prepare a variety of seafood items, assist the head chef, and ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every guest. This full‑time position operates primarily on weekends, offering a dynamic work environment where creativity and customer service go hand‑in‑hand.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of seafood—including fish, shrimp, squid, and shellfish—following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Assist the head chef in daily kitchen prep, including cleaning, chopping, marinating, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth service flow.
- Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards by regularly sanitizing workstations, utensils, and storage areas in compliance with local health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of fresh seafood and related ingredients, reporting shortages to the kitchen manager and suggesting alternative sourcing options when necessary.
- Interact courteously with customers when required, answering basic menu questions and providing recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Support the kitchen team during peak hours, managing multiple orders efficiently while preserving the quality and consistency of each dish.
- Participate in regular training sessions on new cooking techniques, menu updates, and customer service best practices.
- Adhere to the scheduled work hours of Saturday to Sunday, 11:00 am – 11:00 pm, ensuring punctuality and reliability for each shift.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in a kitchen, preferably with a focus on seafood preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to handle, clean, and cook various types of seafood safely and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, customer‑oriented attitude.
- Male candidates (as specified by the employer).
- Proficiency in traditional Indonesian cooking techniques and familiarity with modern kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities during busy service periods.
