Responsibilities

  • Prepare, season, and cook a wide variety of traditional Indonesian (Nusantara) and Chinese menu items, ensuring consistency and taste excellence.
  • Operate and maintain commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, deep fryers, woks, grills, and slicers safely and efficiently.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and keep food costs within budget.
  • Assist in daily kitchen prep, including washing, chopping, marinating, and organizing ingredients for smooth service flow.
  • Collaborate closely with sous‑chefs, line cooks, and service staff to meet peak‑hour demand and maintain a steady output.
  • Monitor food safety and hygiene standards, performing regular sanitation checks and adhering to local health regulations.
  • Suggest menu enhancements, new dish concepts, and plating techniques to keep the offering fresh and appealing.
  • Maintain an organized workstation, label and rotate stock, and ensure proper storage to preserve ingredient quality.
  • Provide mentorship and on‑the‑job training to junior kitchen staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem‑solving by identifying bottlenecks and offering practical solutions to improve kitchen efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum D3/D4 in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field; alternatively, a SMK Tata Boga or equivalent qualification.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • Age: Up to 30 years old (maximum 0 years indicated in original posting is a typographical error).
  • Experience: At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in a commercial kitchen, preferably with a focus on Indonesian and Chinese cuisine.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using commercial kitchen equipment and familiar with modern cooking techniques.
  • Soft Skills: Strong work ethic, high initiative, excellent teamwork, and a positive attitude.
  • Personal Traits: Ability to stay composed under pressure, “no drama” mindset (i.e., not overly emotional or “baper”).
  • Availability: Willing to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
