Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic Supervisor Landscape Operations to join our hospitality team and ensure the outdoor spaces of our hotel reflect the highest standards of beauty, safety, and guest satisfaction. This role is ideal for individuals who possess a blend of technical landscaping knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will oversee daily maintenance, coordinate seasonal projects, and mentor a crew of horticulture professionals while adhering to the hotel’s operational guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of gardeners, groundskeepers, and contractors to maintain lawns, gardens, pathways, and irrigation systems.
  • Develop and implement weekly and monthly maintenance schedules that align with hotel events, peak occupancy periods, and seasonal planting cycles.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and hotel brand aesthetics.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Events departments to prepare outdoor venues for weddings, conferences, and special guest activities.
  • Manage inventory of horticultural supplies, tools, and equipment, placing orders as needed while staying within budget constraints.
  • Oversee the proper use and maintenance of irrigation and drainage systems, troubleshooting issues promptly to prevent service disruptions.
  • Train new staff on best practices for plant care, pest management, and sustainable landscaping techniques.
  • Prepare detailed reports on work progress, cost expenditures, and guest feedback related to outdoor areas.
  • Implement eco‑friendly initiatives such as composting, native plant selection, and water‑conservation strategies to enhance the hotel’s sustainability profile.
  • Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints concerning the appearance or safety of outdoor spaces, ensuring swift resolution and high satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4 in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field (SMA/SMK acceptable with equivalent experience).
  • At least 1‑2 years of supervisory experience in landscape operations, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
  • Strong understanding of hotel operational standards, especially those related to guest‑facing outdoor environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer‑service orientation aimed at achieving high guest satisfaction scores.
  • Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and the ability to represent the hotel brand positively.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
  • Resilience under pressure, with a track record of meeting tight deadlines during high‑traffic periods.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • High integrity, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Technical skills in landscape design, plant identification, irrigation troubleshooting, and basic horticultural software are a plus.
