Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic Supervisor Lantai – Pengawas Operasional to lead our front‑of‑house team in a high‑energy restaurant or café environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring that every guest receives a flawless dining experience, from the moment they are seated until they leave the venue. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Floor, Kitchen Manager, and Bar Supervisor to maintain operational excellence, uphold brand standards, and drive team performance. The position operates on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends and public holidays, offering a vibrant workplace for individuals who thrive under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate a service team comprising waiters, waitresses, runners, and cashiers throughout each shift.
- Conduct daily briefings to communicate menu updates, special promotions, and service expectations before the start of each shift.
- Monitor all service areas to ensure strict adherence to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), health‑safety regulations, and brand standards.
- Maintain table settings, cleanliness, and readiness before guest arrival, and oversee post‑service turnover to guarantee a seamless flow.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally, turning potential issues into positive experiences.
- Control inventory of cutlery, glassware, plates, and other service equipment, reporting losses or damage and implementing preventive measures.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and bar stations to ensure orders are delivered accurately, on time, and at the proper temperature.
- Assist in the onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of new service staff, providing coaching and feedback to foster continuous improvement.
- Prepare and submit daily operational reports to the Head Floor or Manager, highlighting achievements, challenges, and resource needs.
- Uphold a professional appearance and positive attitude, serving as a role model for the team in both conduct and work ethic.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferred D1–D3 in Hospitality, Tourism, or Food & Beverage management.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in restaurant or café service, with proven leadership of a small team or senior waiter experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination abilities, with a talent for motivating staff and resolving conflicts.
- Excellent customer‑service orientation and the ability to maintain composure under high‑pressure situations.
- Familiarity with service SOPs, table‑setting standards, and effective complaint handling techniques.
- Basic proficiency with POS or cashier systems is an advantage.
- Detail‑oriented, disciplined, and able to serve as a positive example for colleagues.
- Flexibility to work a shift schedule from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Sunday, including weekends and holidays.
