Introduction
We are seeking an energetic and results‑driven Team Leader Sales Promotor – Area Surabaya to spearhead our field sales operations across the Surabaya region. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of 15‑20 sales promoters, build strong relationships with retail partners, and ensure that all promotional activities align with the company’s growth objectives. This position offers a dynamic work environment where strategic thinking, hands‑on leadership, and a passion for consumer‑focused sales are essential.
Responsibilities
- Drive the achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets for the designated area.
- Conduct daily visits to merchants, establishing and nurturing professional relationships with store PICs (Person In Charge).
- Oversee the implementation of promotional programs, ensuring POP (Point‑of‑Purchase) materials are correctly placed and displayed.
- Coordinate closely with partner operational teams to gather intelligence on sales performance, competitor activities, and on‑site challenges.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of 15‑20 sales promoters, monitoring their daily activities and providing performance feedback.
- Design and deliver regular training sessions, including onboarding, skill refreshers, and product knowledge updates.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and present concise reports on sales performance, field issues, and promotional effectiveness to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and ethical sales practices.
- Maintain a structured work schedule: Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in sales, field promotion, or team leadership within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) or retail environment.
- Strong analytical abilities for competitor and sales performance analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with merchants and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse sales team.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation.
- Flexibility to travel extensively across the Surabaya area.
