Introduction

SPX Express, a leading logistics provider in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Kepala Shift Center in the Sortation Center (SOC) located in Kabupaten Tegal, Jawa Tengah. This pivotal role oversees the daily operations of the shift, ensuring seamless inbound, sortation, bagging, reprocessing, and outbound processes. The successful candidate will act as the operational hub, coordinating manpower, maintaining high productivity standards, and championing continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control the daily operational flow of the Sortation Center, covering all stages from inbound receipt to final outbound dispatch.
  • Ensure that every function within the SOC adheres strictly to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality benchmarks.
  • Develop and adjust manpower plans in response to fluctuating daily volumes, aligning staffing levels with peak and off‑peak periods.
  • Track team productivity, equipment utilization, and capacity metrics, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular briefings with shift personnel to communicate performance reports, safety updates, and 5S implementation progress.
  • Coordinate with other shift leaders, warehouse supervisors, and regional managers to synchronize cross‑functional activities.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis for operational incidents, driving corrective and preventive measures to reduce downtime.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging staff to suggest process enhancements and cost‑saving ideas.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of shift activities, performance logs, and compliance records for audit purposes.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and promoting proper equipment handling.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of logistics experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or warehouse‑lead role.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills, capable of motivating diverse teams.
  • Proven ability to plan and allocate manpower efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and basic data analysis.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and adapt to the operational schedule of Monday‑Saturday, 09:30 – 18:30.
  • Readiness to be based in Kabupaten Tegal, Jawa Tengah for the duration of employment.
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
