Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Spesialis Perawatan Kebun dan Tanaman to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential for maintaining the lush greenery and ornamental plants that enhance the ambience of our restaurant and outdoor dining areas. The successful candidate will combine practical gardening expertise with a strong sense of responsibility, ensuring that every guest experiences a welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspection, watering, pruning, and fertilization of all garden beds, potted plants, and landscape features.
- Monitor soil moisture levels and adjust irrigation schedules to conserve water while keeping plants healthy.
- Identify and manage pests, diseases, and weeds using environmentally friendly methods.
- Maintain garden tools, equipment, and storage areas, ensuring they are clean, safe, and in good working order.
- Assist in the planning and installation of seasonal flower displays, decorative hedges, and temporary event setups.
- Coordinate with the restaurant’s facilities team to ensure that plant placement does not interfere with foot traffic, safety regulations, or fire codes.
- Prepare and present weekly reports on plant health, inventory of supplies, and any required repairs or replacements.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff or interns on basic horticultural techniques.
- Respond promptly to any emergency situations such as storm damage or equipment failure, especially during weekends and holidays.
- Support sustainability initiatives by composting organic waste and recommending eco‑friendly landscaping practices.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Gender: Male (Laki‑laki).
- Age: 20 – 40 years.
- Physical fitness: Good physical and mental health to perform manual labor and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience as a gardener or garden caretaker is preferred; fresh graduates with strong horticultural knowledge are also considered.
- Technical skills: Understanding of basic plant care, irrigation systems, and maintenance of restaurant‑related facilities.
- Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, high sense of responsibility, ability to work independently or as part of a team, and flexible availability for weekends and holidays.
- Availability: Willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional duties on public holidays.
