Responsibilities
- Prepare, season, and cook a variety of Sundanese dishes according to standardized recipes and quality standards.
- Execute precise cutting, chopping, and portioning of ingredients, ensuring uniformity and presentation excellence.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety protocols, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control.
- Assist in menu development by suggesting new dishes, improving existing recipes, and accommodating special dietary requests.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and communicate replenishment needs to the kitchen manager.
- Coordinate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during peak service hours, from Monday through Saturday (08:00 – 17:00).
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils after each shift, adhering to health department regulations.
- Participate in routine kitchen inspections and contribute ideas for continuous improvement in efficiency and waste reduction.
- Support training of junior kitchen assistants and apprentices, sharing best practices in cutting techniques and cooking methods.
Requirements
- Age: 18 – 28 years.
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Proven cutting and cooking skills with a strong emphasis on precision and speed.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, especially within a Sundanese or Indonesian culinary setting.
- Knowledge of traditional Sundanese food preparation techniques and flavor profiles is a distinct advantage.
