Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor offset printing presses, ensuring consistent colour reproduction and print quality.
- Set up, calibrate, and run degel (plong) machines—both manual and automatic—to prepare plates for production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting on press and plong equipment to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with the production planning team to meet daily output targets and adhere to delivery schedules.
- Inspect finished prints for defects, document any issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate production logs, machine settings, and inventory records for inks, plates, and consumables.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals and waste disposal.
- Collaborate with senior technicians and supervisors to continuously improve workflow efficiency.
- Participate in shift handovers, providing clear updates on machine status, pending jobs, and any maintenance needs.
- Assist in training new staff members on equipment operation and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Male candidate (as specified by the client’s operational policy).
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a graduate of SMK Grafika with a focus on Production or Production Preparation.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in offset printing environments.
- Demonstrated ability to operate both manual and automatic degel (plong) machines.
- Previous internship or employment at an offset printing house is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early‑morning and evening hours as required.
- Strong adaptability and quick learning skills to handle new technologies and workflow changes.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining high print quality standards.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting.
