Responsibilities

  • Greet guests promptly, present menus, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on food and beverage selections.
  • Take accurate orders, relay them to the kitchen, and ensure timely delivery of dishes while adhering to quality standards.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to manage large‑scale catering orders, banquet services, and high‑volume dinner rushes.
  • Monitor and control the cost of goods sold (HPP) for menu items, assisting in inventory checks and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including table setting, utensil preparation, and adherence to health regulations.
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and reconcile daily sales reports with precision.
  • Adapt quickly to shift changes, weekend schedules, and holiday demands, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow waitstaff, chefs, and management to ensure seamless service flow and resolve any guest concerns professionally.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to upsell specials, promote seasonal items, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on menu changes, new service techniques, and industry trends.

Requirements

  • Male candidates preferred; however, all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum education: D3/D4 or a vocational certificate in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or a related field (SMK Tata Boga or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in large‑scale food preparation (catering, hotel, or high‑volume restaurant environments) is essential.
  • Strong ability to calculate and control menu costings (HPP) to optimize profitability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously with guests and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrated honesty, creativity, innovation, and a genuine passion for the culinary and service industry.
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and adapt to evolving service demands.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift trays or equipment as required.
