Introduction

Columbia Asia Hospital Aksara, a leading private healthcare provider in Medan, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Perawat Poliklinik Rawat Jalan (OPD) to join our dynamic clinical team. The successful candidate will work in a modern, fully equipped facility located on Jl. Letda Sujono, Medan Tembung, and will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to continuous improvement and patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to out‑patient (OPD) patients, including triage, vital sign assessment, and documentation.
  • Administer medications, wound dressings, and basic procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and Indonesian nursing standards.
  • Coordinate patient flow between registration, consultation rooms, and diagnostic services to minimize waiting times.
  • Educate patients and their families on post‑visit care plans, medication adherence, and preventive health measures.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Participate in daily shift handovers, ensuring seamless communication of critical information.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations within the OPD, applying Basic Trauma and Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) skills.
  • Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering to guarantee readiness of essential equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to infection control policies, waste management procedures, and occupational health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (S1 Keperawatan) with a professional nursing license (Profesi Ners).
  • At least 1–2 years of experience working in an OPD or similar outpatient setting.
  • Current and valid Surat Tanda Registrasi (STR).
  • Certification in Basic Trauma and Cardiac Life Support (BTCLS) is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and data entry.
  • Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including occasional weekend duty.
  • Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and, preferably, basic English.
  • Highly disciplined, detail‑oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities to interact respectfully with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
