Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and qualified Professional Japanese Language Trainer to join our corporate training team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality Japanese language instruction to our employees, enabling them to communicate effectively with Japanese partners, clients, and stakeholders. This role is pivotal in supporting our organization’s international expansion and fostering cross‑cultural collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging Japanese language lessons for corporate staff, adhering to a structured curriculum aligned with business communication needs.
  • Conduct both face‑to‑face and hybrid (online) sessions, ensuring a consistent learning experience across all delivery modes.
  • Prepare teaching materials, including presentations, handouts, and interactive activities that reflect real‑world business scenarios such as negotiations, email correspondence, and presentations.
  • Assess learner progress through quizzes, oral exams, and written assignments, providing constructive feedback and personalized improvement plans.
  • Compile and submit detailed progress reports to management on a bi‑weekly basis, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended next steps.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Learning & Development teams to align language training with overall employee development goals.
  • Maintain a disciplined classroom environment, fostering a culture of respect, punctuality, and active participation.
  • Stay updated on the latest pedagogical methods and Japanese language proficiency standards (e.g., JLPT), integrating best practices into the training program.
  • Assist in the creation of supplementary resources such as vocabulary flashcards, audio recordings, and e‑learning modules.
  • Participate in regular performance evaluations and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of the language program.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: D3/D4; preferably a degree in Japanese Language, Japanese Literature, or Japanese Language Education (S1 preferred).
  • Proficiency in Japanese at least at JLPT N3 level; higher levels (N2/N1) are a strong advantage.
  • At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in an adult or corporate setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a diverse group of learners.
  • Strong organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple class schedules (Monday‑Friday 16:00‑21:00, Saturday 09:00‑15:00) and preparing timely reports.
  • Disciplined, punctual, and adaptable to both in‑person and virtual teaching environments.
  • Willingness to commit to an initial 3‑month contract, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.
