Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Cook (Asisten Koki Dapur Operasional) to join our dynamic kitchen team. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates of culinary programs or individuals with at least one year of hands‑on cooking experience who are eager to develop their skills in a fast‑paced, professional environment. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, supporting senior chefs in preparing high‑quality dishes that meet our strict food hygiene and presentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in the preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items for both daily service and special events.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper storage, temperature control, and sanitation of workstations.
- Organize ingredients, tools, and equipment efficiently to ensure smooth kitchen operations and minimize waste.
- Collaborate closely with fellow kitchen staff, fostering a cooperative atmosphere and communicating any issues promptly.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to guarantee that dishes are delivered to guests on schedule and at the appropriate quality level.
- Participate in daily inventory checks, assist with receiving deliveries, and report any discrepancies or shortages.
- Demonstrate punctuality and reliability by arriving on time for each shift and completing assigned tasks within the allotted time frame.
- Adapt quickly to high‑pressure situations, such as peak service periods or unexpected menu changes, while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Contribute ideas for menu improvements, recipe development, and kitchen efficiency enhancements during team meetings.
- Ensure all food items are presented attractively, meeting the visual standards expected by our customers and brand.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of practical experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene standards and the ability to implement them consistently.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, sharing responsibilities and supporting colleagues.
- High level of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
- Capability to perform well under pressure, especially during busy service hours.
