Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, presenting menus and explaining daily specials with confidence.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, relay them efficiently to the kitchen and bar, and ensure timely delivery to tables.
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries and suggest appropriate pairings.
- Supervise and mentor junior waitstaff, providing on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and support during peak hours.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining area, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
- Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism, turning potential issues into positive experiences.
- Process payments, manage tabs, and ensure accurate billing while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen, bar, and management teams to coordinate service flow and special events.
- Upsell additional items such as desserts, specialty coffees, and premium beverages to increase average check size.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new menu items, service protocols, and industry trends.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Open to all genders; a professional appearance is essential.
- At least 2‑3 years of experience in a full‑service restaurant or similar hospitality setting; senior‑level candidates preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example.
- Excellent time‑management and multitasking capabilities, especially during high‑volume periods.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, including proper table setting, wine service, and handling of special dietary requests.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, with shifts from 08:00 to 17:00, and occasional overtime during events.
