Introduction
We are seeking a skilled Internet & WiFi Network Technician to join our dynamic team serving the Palembang region. This role is pivotal in delivering reliable broadband services to residential and business customers, ensuring seamless connectivity for a rapidly expanding digital market. The successful candidate will work directly with customers to install, activate, and troubleshoot network services, playing a critical part in maintaining our reputation for high‑quality, customer‑focused telecommunications solutions.
Responsibilities
- Perform on‑site installation and activation of internet and WiFi services, adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
- Provide remote and on‑site technical support, diagnosing issues ranging from signal loss to equipment malfunction.
- Configure and test fiber optic, FTTH, and other broadband equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the network operations center to relay real‑time status updates and escalation of complex problems.
- Educate customers on proper usage, troubleshooting steps, and best practices for maintaining network stability.
- Document all service activities in the CRM system, including detailed notes on installations, repairs, and customer feedback.
- Participate in routine maintenance checks and preventive inspections to minimize service disruptions.
- Assist in the rollout of new technologies and service upgrades, providing feedback on field performance.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct, representing the company positively during all customer interactions.
Requirements
- Male candidate, maximum age 35 years.
- Minimum education: SMK in Computer Network Engineering or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred with a minimum GPA of 3.00 (or SMK grade ≥85).
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in network installation, fiber optic (FTTH) or ISP environments.
- Valid SIM A driver’s license is highly desirable for field mobility.
- Strong technical knowledge of fiber optic cables, FTTH architecture, routers, switches, and WiFi access points.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to work independently under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information clearly to non‑technical customers.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a customer‑service oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, with a standard schedule of Monday‑Sunday, 08:00–17:00.
