Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and present menus with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Explain daily specials, menu items, and beverage selections, offering recommendations based on guest preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Take accurate food and drink orders, input them into the POS system, and communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve meals and beverages efficiently, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, and timing.
- Monitor table progress, refill drinks, and respond to guest needs promptly, maintaining a high level of attentiveness without being intrusive.
- Handle payments, process credit card transactions, and issue receipts while adhering to cash-handling policies.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, reset tables after guests depart, and assist with side‑station organization.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to coordinate service flow and resolve any issues swiftly.
- Uphold Blackrooster’s standards of food safety, hygiene, and service etiquette at all times.
- Participate in briefings, training sessions, and occasional promotional events to stay updated on menu changes and service enhancements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a diploma in Hospitality or Culinary Arts.
- At least 1 year of experience as a waiter or waitress in a fast‑paced restaurant or steakhouse environment (experience is a strong plus).
- Excellent verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and basic English, with the ability to convey information clearly and courteously.
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to work collaboratively in a team and also manage individual responsibilities effectively.
- Physical stamina and agility to stand for long periods, carry trays, and move quickly between stations.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of guest service.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays; shift timing is 13:00 – 22:00, Monday through Sunday.
